You may have read in the news that Facebook have removed their tribute pages for Michael, just a couple of weeks before the 1st anniversary of his murder, without warning or explanation. These Facebook pages contained hundreds of messages and tributes.
Michael's mother Marie Causer told the PinkNews.co.uk website "We don't know why it has gone. My nephew Christopher, who set it up, was told by Facebook it broke their terms and conditions but we don't know how."
This memorial is to forever remember Mickey. He was just 18 years old when he was attacked on the morning of Friday July 25 2008 in Liverpool, because he was gay.
Michael was admitted to Whiston Hospital at 11am and later transferred to the Walton Critical Care unit. He remained in a critical condition for eight days. Emergency surgery was carried out to attempt to stem swelling on his brain, but tragically the doctors were not able to save him.
This is why itβs important for Gay Pride events to continue around the UK and beyond. Why the fight for true equality must continue. Until all of society accepts that being born gay is as natural as being born straight. One day in the future, people will look back at this criminal attack will sheer disbelief.
Your death will not be in vain, Michael. Your memory will live on forever.

Michael, you are an angel now...I can feel it! I am a surivivor of a brutal hate crime in the United States. I know the utter terror of those moments. You did NOT deserve what happened to you, and neither did I. I will keep you close to my heart, and will consider you a soul mate for the connection we have. I have no doubt that you are soaring around the world spreading love and peace.

Rest in peace michael, noone deserved what you went through, especially you, you had a heart of gold and was loved by many, and also missed by many.

Another gone too soon
I can't say i knew Michael myself, but from reading posted tributes on sites such as homotopia i feel i have got to know a bit about him from searching up on such a tragic moment of which was his death, being gay myself and coming out at a young age i can only sympathise with how hard it must have been for Michael to come out and just want be accepted by society as that's all we ask in a world that still deems it unacceptable to be gay, i mean its tragic loosing life as we all know but to pick on someone over there sexuality is just unacceptable in world where all we want is equality and peace, to the family and friends that were close to Michael i send my deepest sympathies as a guy who has lost family on more than one occasion in such a small space of time
